Sales Position -- Regional Sales Manager (Revised): (020809) BS or BA for Regional Sales Manager at established manufacturer of Fiber Components/Equipment, to be responsible for Fusion Splicer product sales (TX, OK, KS, NE, SD, ND and IL) by: supporting/growing existing accounts; developing/implementing plans to penetrate new key accounts; supporting relationships with Reps & Distributors; working closely with manufacturer's Engineering & Customer Service teams; and by acting as liaison between company and customer. Will provide market research and product marketing by: identifying specific opportunities wherein products can provide solutions to customer problems and by researching competitor market and tracking trends to determine if company is competitive in price, products, customization, lead-time and shipping. Requires minimum 5 years in Sales with optical fiber and outside plant equipment for Telecom market; specific sales in Telecom or tech field strongly preferred, as well as success managing Sales Reps. Must be willing to undertake domestic travel of 50-70%, including trade shows/industry events. Preference for candidates residing in Chicago or Dallas. (Texas north to Dakotas).
Sales Position -- National Sales Manager: (010809) BA Business or BS Engineering for National Sales Manager at established manufacturer of Fiber Optic Cable Products (jumpers, pigtails, couplers, etc.) to be responsible for developing new accounts, as well as growing and supporting existing accounts. Requires minimum 5 years in Fiber industry with a proven track record selling Passive Fiber Components to include sales into RBOCs, CLECs, ILECs as well as distributors and installers; success also in other untapped market sectors will be a plus. Marketing Position -- Product Line Manager, Fiber Optic Products (Revised): (010808) BS Engineering or BA/MBA Business for Product Line Manager, Fiber Optic Products at established manufacturer of Fiber Cable/Connector products for Premise market, to be responsible for managing the Fiber Optic business unit, reporting in to the GM, Networking Solutions. Must develop a 3-year strategic product/vertical marketing plan and also lead the development of a 3-year product roadmap that will include internal product development, partnering and acquisitions to address key solution gaps. Will coordinate the development of future innovative products that fit the strategic marketing plan and that will increase sales through both creative marketing and cooperation with Sales to set both price targets and product positioning. Requires senior level fiber-optic product marketing experience, with passive components for datacomm applications a plus. Must have been managing P&L, analyzing the market, identifying new markets as well as new product opportunities -- and creating the business case for those strategies. Critical background includes analysis of: the product line income statement; the margin mix; channels to markets & customers; pricing -- and recommending/taking action to maximize margins and revenues. Manufacturing Position -- Manufacturing Manager or Supervisor (ON HOLD): (030806) BS Tech/Engineering for Manufacturing Manager or Supervisor (depending on experience), Fiber Optic Assemblies at established manufacturer with a start-up opportunity producing Fiber Optic Assemblies. Will be responsible for: ensuring product assembly processes and procedures are in place, validated and followed by assembly personnel; supervision of personnel and necessary training for all aspects of product assembly, testing, IDs and packaging (as required); and for all production and testing equipment to be operational, within calibration and providing necessary results required of product and/or component. Must work with Engineering to implement changes, revisions and/or new product processes into production line and ensure that personnel are properly trained to operate hand tools, tooling, process machinery and test equipment. Will verify/validate product drawings, bills-of-materials, labor times and labor time efficiencies, as well as be familiar with customer expectations and product delivery dates and times. Further, must develop/implement necessary parameters to ensure that quality product is produced and reliably delivered repeatedly; work with corporate QA teams to standardize expected results. Requires minimum 6 years of manufacturing management and/or supervision in Fiber Optic Cable and Connector Assembly environment to include familiarity with accepted industry standards for Fiber Optic Cable and working knowledge of Telcordia requirements/standards relating to Fiber Optic Cable Assemblies. Must be familiar with common Fiber Optic Connector types and process techniques, and be capable of skillfully identifying areas that need improvement in order to achieve desired results. Should have solid working knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Word and AutoCAD (Southeast).
Business Development Position -- Business Development Manager: (010805) BS Engineering (MBA a plus) for Business Development Manager at established manufacturer of Fiber Interconnect Components, to investigate and develop new applications for both internal technology as well as products that can be purchased for resale; will also define new products and steps to develop significant potential sales with existing or new major accounts. For new applications will develop sales channel strategy and new company capabilities, and establish key relationships, including standards activity, to maximize sales and profitability. Major responsibilities include achieving budgeted sales/margin for all products and assigned accounts and managing expenses within budget. Will develop long-term preferred customer and supplier relationships to establish company leadership in targeted technology/application areas and will promote ongoing relationships between major accounts and company at all levels of customers' organizations in order to create a preference for company products over competitors and to establish company as relevant source of technical knowledge for new applications. Must act as information source to Product Management and Development regarding customer requirements and emerging applications, while providing application description, tech requirements for products, potential volumes, ASPs and timing requirements. Coordinates and establishes the production/QA for new products with Manufacturing and key suppliers. Must maintain a high knowledge level in the following: multifiber connectors; connector cleaners; optical fiber /cable; FTTH; private network architectures (SAN, LAN, servers, routers, switches); optics modules; and interconnect standards for T/R, connectors and waveguides. Requires minimum 3-5 years sales, engineering and/or product management in photonics industry, with knowledge of optical waveguides/cable, connectors and system interconnect architectures preferred.
